Thanks for joining/supporting Team Scleroderma Research
we are pulling a team together again this year to ride the Paris to Ancaster bike race on 30th April 2017.
There are 3 distances - 20km, 40km and 70km. You need to register with P2A first, then sign up with the St Joes Foundation team. We can walk you through this process. There is also an event for kids not wishing to participate in the whole 20km race, with some instruction in to mountain biking and some fun rides.
Last year, we raised $10,000 which ballooned to $60K with matching funds from University and Province...
We are hoping to do the same again this year.
The 20Km is a "family ride" - even young kids were doing it last year. All you need is a reasonably robust bike (trails and a bit of mud). The 40km and 70km are more for keen cyclists.
Please join our team "Team Scleroderma Research" to participate in the race (it was a lot of fun last year), or if you would like to make a donation to the team instead (?)
Scleroderma can be a nasty disease with progressive thickening of the skin and internal organs leading to damage. It is an autoimmune disease, with no adequate treatment or cure. We are working to develop a better understanding of the pathology of this disease, ultimately to better treatments.
This year I will be doing the 40Km ride and my kids the 20km or the fun day event
Thanks for your support!
