A message to our community:
Thank you for signing up to walk, run and raise funds in the 2020 Around the Bay Road Race. This morning, Anna Lewis, Race Director of Around the Bay, announced that the event will no longer take place on March 29, 2020 as a precautionary measure related to the COVID-19 virus. As a hospital foundation, the health and safety of our community is always our top priority. We commend and support the Around the Bay Road Race organizers' decision which will help to protect the well-being of all participants and community members.
Earlier this year, St. Joseph's Healthcare Foundation set a goal of raising $475,000 through the Around the Bay Road Race to help renew our Hospital's Psychiatric Emergency Service. While the race may be on hold, the need for emergency mental health care in our region continues to grow and with that in mind, we’re transitioning to a new virtual fundraiser which will allow our teams and participants to safely continue raising funds to support St. Joe's. Stay tuned to our Foundation’s communications channels for more details coming very soon.
Thank you for your continued commitment to and support of our Hospital.
