#1 Give them the Chance to Win Big

The take-home prize in our Holiday Wishes 50/50 Lottery is already over $35,000 and it keeps growing with every ticket sold! Fifty per cent of ticket sales make up the ever-growing jackpot, while the other 50 per cent supports the care St. Joe’s is honoured to provide to our community. Right now, every ticket you purchase will provide three chances to win:

• Dec. 14 Early Bird Draw for $1,000 Cash
[But you must buy your tickets before TONIGHT at midnight!]
• Dec. 29 Early Bird Draw for $2,500 Cash
• Jan. 4 Grand Prize Draw for $35,000 and counting!

To purchase tickets for yourself or as a gift, visit www.stjoeslottery.ca today!

#2 Grab Tickets to See Glass Tiger!

On Friday, February 11, Canadian singer and songwriter, Alan Frew of Glass Tiger will be performing at Hamilton’s beautiful Zoetic Theatre for one night only in support of prostate cancer care and research at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. Tickets for this rare event are only $80 plus applicable fees and taxes. To learn more or to purchase tickets visit www.thezoetic.ca/events.

#3 Squeeze them Into the Sold-Out Bay Race!

The most sought-after spots in the Around the Bay Road Race’s 30k and Relay events on March 27, 2022 are sold out, but here at St. Joe’s, we can still get you in! For the runner in your life, consider giving them a St. Joe’s Charity Spot this holiday season. For more details visit www.stjoesfoundation.ca/atb.

#4 Give the Gift of a Healthier Community

The hardest people to buy for are those who seem to have everything already. But what if you could give them the gift of a healthier future? With a gift to our Holiday Appeal, you’ll be helping to bring a new CT Suite to our Emergency Department, so that when every second counts, the community can count on the care we provide at St. Joe’s. Two of our physicians, Dr. Greg Rutledge, Chief of Emergency Medicine, and Dr. Colm Boylan, Chief of Diagnostic Imaging, have been chatting with local media about why this project is so essential to our Hospital and to the patients we serve. Read more about it here.

#5 Score some Handmade Gifts that Give Back

Two of our super-talented St. Joe’s staff members and the wife of a grateful patient are crafting hand-made wares that make for unique and heartfelt holiday gifts while also giving back to St. Joe’s.

For the Healthcare Worker on Your List:
Heather is a part-time labour & delivery nurse at St. Joe’s and a full-time mom to three young kids. In her spare time (?!), she sews handmade scrub caps from unique textiles to bring a smile to both wearers and their patients. If you’re looking for a stocking stuffer for a healthcare worker on your list, pop over to the @made_by_moby Instagram page to view all of the different fabrics and styles available.
For the Wine & Cheese Lover on Your List:
Brian works at the Men’s Addiction Service at St. Joe’s, and he’s also the co-founder of Charcuterie Creations. His beautifully cut and polished wood charcuterie boards are all over Instagram and make a perfect gift for friends, colleagues, party hosts and family members. From small boards for two, to giant oval party-sized trays, Charcuterie Creations has something for everyone. Brian generously donates a portion of each sale back to our Foundation. Visit @charcuteriecreations on Instagram to learn more and order today!
For the Ruth Bader Ginsburg Fan in Your Life:
Ellen Foster’s husband Michael was diagnosed with early stage prostate cancer and in appreciation for the care he received from Dr. Bobby Shayegan and the team at St. Joseph’s Institute for Urology, Ellen is knitting beautiful holiday ornaments that honour the life and legacy of the late Supreme Court Justice, Ruth Bader Ginsburg. There’s only a limited number available and they’re just $30 each with all proceeds supporting prostate cancer care at our Hospital. www.stjoesfoundation.ca/RBGOrnament
