A New Way to Provide Mental Health (Re)Leaf

Maple-Releaf-Banner-NEW.jpg

We’re so proud to be one of 18 beneficiaries of a brand new, star-studded, national fundraising effort called Maple (Re)Leaf! Find out why Canadian icons and celebrities such as Jason Priestley, Kim Coates, Jully Black and more are all lending their voices to the cause by watching this video.

The idea is simple. A donation of as little as $30 will plant a leaf and support mental health programs and services in your local community. These services have never been more important as we all strive to recover from the impact of COVID-19. Once we reach 1,500 leaves or more, we’ll create an art installation demonstrating how our community came together to provide mental health (Re)Leaf to Canadians living in the region served by St. Joe’s.

Want your very own Maple Leaf? Simply donate $110 and we’ll plant one in the art installation AND send you one of your very own as a keepsake. The Maple Leaf was designed by renowned Canadian artist, Charles Pachter! Learn more or give today by clicking here!

You Walked. You Ran. You Raised Funds for Women’s Mental Health. THANK YOU!

Run for Women Collage

Sunday, July 11th saw the completion of the virtual Run for Women (R4W), brought to you by the LOVE YOU program at Shoppers Drug Mart. Runners from across Canada showed their support for women’s mental health, including right here in Hamilton, where our unstoppable community of fundraisers raised more than $110,000 to support women’s mental health programs at St. Joe’s. We’re so grateful for your support!

In our third year as the Hamilton-area beneficiary of funds raised, more than 800 people took part in the event, either on their own, or as a part of one of 83 fundraising teams registered. Twenty-seven participating teams were from our Hospital itself because they know that all funds raised will support the mental health care St. Joe’s is honoured to provide to women in our region. We are also grateful for the incredibly strong showing of support from local Shoppers Drug Mart store teams from across our region!

Follow St. Joe’s on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to see a collection of posts from the Run for Women event, as well as video from our community fundraising champion, Christine Yanke, who inspired so many by sharing her story of addiction, recovery and resilience. Thank you again to everyone for making this the most successful Run for Women to date, and we look forward to seeing you (hopefully in person) again in 2022!
