Meet Our 2021 Run for Women Community Champion, Christine Yanke
A trauma-informed approach to care from St. Joe’s Womankind Addiction Service helped Christine on her journey to recovery

Christine Yanke is a mom, a wife, an accomplished author, and Canada’s first certified YogaFit for Warriors instructor. She is also a former client of St. Joe’s Womankind Addiction Service and knows firsthand how using alcohol and drugs to cope with stress, grief, and trauma can spiral into a full-blown battle with substance abuse.
This summer, Christine is participating in the SHOPPERS LOVE YOU Run for Women to raise funds for women’s mental health programs at St. Joe’s. She credits the Hospital's Womankind program for helping to get her life back on track after struggling with addiction.
Christine shared her remarkable story of recovery with us, both in this website story and in this fantastic video. The Run for Women takes place between July 4th - 11th. Registration ends this Friday, June 25th at midnight, so don't delay! Sign up to run or walk in support of women's mental health programs at St. Joe's below. Use code RFWIMPACT for $5 off your registration fee! |

After a long winter and early spring spent in lockdown, a sunny day on the links in support of St. Joe's never sounded so good. St. Joseph’s Healthcare Foundation is proud to join forces once again with St. Elizabeth Village, a Zest Community, to present the 4th Annual St. Joe’s Golf Tournament. The tournament will take place on Thursday, September 9th at Glendale Golf & Country Club in Hamilton.
While we are emerging on the other side of the COVID-19 pandemic, we will continue to take the utmost care to ensure the health and safety of our golfers. Attendees will be treated to on-course (socially distant) food stations, an online auction where bids can be submitted via your mobile phone, and a variety of well-loved contests such as longest drive, closest to the pin, and hole-in-one.
Book Your Foursome Today!
For those interested in a great day on the course, individual golfers can register until the day of the event for $300, while booking a foursome is $1,200. A host of sponsorship opportunities are also available.
