Donor Spotlight: Chelsea Romano

At 18 years old, Chelsea Romano was diagnosed with bipolar disorder. She struggled for several years but was finally connected to St. Joe's mental health counselling services and therapy programs. Now as a grateful patient, she's found a meaningful way to give back by fundraising through the Shoppers Run for Women. Watch Chelsea's story.

Our Psychiatric Emergency Service needs the community's support

For those experiencing a mental illness for the first time, or for those in crisis, St. Joe's Psychiatric Emergency Service (PES) is often their first point of contact with the Hospital. On average PES cares for 600 people each month and they, along with the staff providing expert care, deserve a transformed space that better meets their needs. St. Joe's Foundation is currently raising $6 million to redevelop our current PES. See how we're planning to support the improvement of PES under "Hospital Renewal" and donate today!
